This American style villa is situated adjacent to a lake in the rural area of Beijing. Seen from outside, the house is largely open toward the Japanese style inspired garden, complimented by the bamboo forest at the back, which sets the tone right away. The landscape made of stones and water is placed at the heart of this project and simply embellished by essential shapes and materials. The furniture in the house is selected with attention and adapted to environment of the place.
